Loft Insulation – Clean Energy 365

one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways of saving energy is to have a Loft Insulation. Generally one quarter of heat loss is through the roof in an uninsulated home. The most effective way of Insulating your home is by insulating the loft, or an attic, or a flat roof. It’s the most simplest and effective way to reduce heat loss and reduce your heating bills with savings over £300 each year.

How would I know if I need a loft Insulation?

Please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be more than happy to check this status for you. The current specification is 270mm, which is made up of 2 layers. You may only need an additional layer to bring your property up to the relevant standard and to get the maximum effects of your energy savings.

Installation

Installing loft insulation is quite simple and will only take a couple of hours. A mineral fibre material is laid between the joists and then over the joists in your loft or roof.

This thick material captures heat normally lost through the roof and stops draughts getting in.

If you already have loft insulation, you could still benefit from a top-up. If your insulation is 100mm or less, you can increase it to the recommended level of 270mm. Please contact us to check whether you will need an insulation or a top up in some cases. Whichever you will need we will be happy to assist.

Durability

All products we use, will not rot, degrade or sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of mould, bacteria or fungi. Our products have a long life expectancy of 40 years plus.

Cost and Savings

Typically, installations can cost up to £400, however as Clean Energy Ltd are an approved ECO installer, you may be eligible for a grant to cover 100% of the cost. Such fantastic savings allowing significant energy bill reductions!
